I'm reading "The Secret Life of Bees" which was given to me by a friend for Christmas. So far, so good. Fiction set in the South in the civil rights era.

I love John Grisham's stuff. I would like to see the movie...but I always like to read the book first.

Ooo...I have heard of Thomas Friedman...he just wrote a book called, "Hot, flat and crowded" or something like that. I think it may be kind of like a sequal to the book you are talking about.

Oh man, we are reading a lot right now...

-Christ of the Indian Road by E. Stanley Jones (even if you aren't going to India, it's beautiful)

-The World is Flat by Thomas Friedman (A good perspective in a world that is becoming increasingly interconnected. It came highly recommended to us and I pass it along as the same!)

I read the chamber around a year or two ago. That's my first and only John Grisham to date. But the book really stole my heart. From characterization to plot to etching out the law and crime scenario to utter perfection, Grisham does everything right. The book had me nearly in tears at it's poignant ending. It's a brilliant book, I'm sure you'll love it.

There's a movie based on it too.
It's all right. But I wouldn't recommend the movie when you've got a book, and that too by a master like Grisham. Happy reading!
