I have been on the move lately. In the past three weeks I have traveled:
2,000 (+) miles on a plane to Florida for the Exponential Conference
1,000 (+) miles in my car in the past three weeks for interviews
=
3,000 (+) miles

I am definitely glad to be stationary today! My car is glad as well. While I was driving home yesterday the “Service Engine Soon” light flashed across my dashboard. Hopefully it won’t be anything too serious.

In the Neon, that light was sort of on constantly. I considered it a kind gesture by my car… sort of a replacement for the malfunctioning dome light. A little extra illumination for my evening. I bet your car is just trying to love on you a little bit.

Definitely feel you on the mileage thing, buddy. Courtney and I just figured out that since January we’ve spent about 10,000 miles in the car. The Stratus has been good though. However, the ominous “Check Engine” light (currently on for us) is truly the thing I hate most in life right now.

Yeah, some cars like to have that light stay on. I wish that was the case with my car….$700 bucks later and the light is finally gone! (I guess I forgot to mention that my car was also accelerating weird too).
The mechanic told me that it was a good thing that I caught my problem when I did, otherwise I would have been buying a new engine! The moral of the story…get it looked at Neil! You can take the Strat to Autozone, they do free check engine light tests.
